Long prized by woodworkers for its spectacular grain and color, cocobolo remains a favorite today, expecially for small items where its cost is less of an issue. Cocobolo can exhibit colors ranging the spectrum, from yellow, orange and red to shades of brown with streaks of black or purple, all darkening with age. Sapwood is usually pale yellow. With it's fine texture, high oil content and beautiful luster, cocobolo makes a standout knife blank to complement your best blades.
